Disease - High Blood Pressure

High Blood Pressure: High blood pressure (also referred to as hypertension) is often called the "silent killer" since it is one of the leading risk factors associated with heart attacks, stroke, and kidney failure but it has no clearly identifiable symptoms. Since it is estimated that one in three adults in the USA suffer from high blood pressure, it is extremely important to get your blood pressure checked regularly by your doctor.
Although medication is often prescribed for serious cases of high blood pressure, most instances of the condition can easily be treated using a variety of everyday natural foods and simple lifestyle changes.
Causes of High Blood Pressure
While there is no single exact cause of high blood pressure or hypertension, a few risk factors have been recognized:

* A regularly high intake of salt (exceeding 6 grams per day).

* Excessively drinking alcohol (more than 2 drinks per day).

* Regularly consuming large amounts of caffeine.

* Obesity, since the heart has to pump more blood to supply the excess tissue.

* Lack of aerobic exercise (such as walking, jogging, biking, or swimming).

* Stress.

* Hereditary (genetic) predisposition (for example, African Americans are more often susceptible to high blood pressure than Caucasians or Asians).

Home Remedies and Natural Cures:

CELERY Research has shown that munching on celery can help to lower blood pressure. It turns out that compounds found in the oil of celery can relax and dilate the muscles that line the arteries, which helps to regulate blood pressure. Therefore, simply eating a few stalks of celery per day as a simple snack at lunch can help significantly.

Garlic

It has also been known to help reduce high blood pressure. Although the exact reasons are still not clear, studies have shown that eating just a single clove a day (either raw or cooked) has a beneficial effect. An added bonus for eating garlic is that it is also known to reduce cholesterol. Therefore, regularly consuming garlic, either fresh or in capsule form, is a great way to reduce your risk of heart disease.

POTASSIUM

Studies have shown that consuming potassium-rich foods can help to lower blood pressure. Good sources of potassium include bananas, oranges, spinach, and zucchini. NOTE: If you are being treated for kidney failure, potassium rich foods can actually be harmful to you. Therefore, if this applies to you, consult your doctor first before trying this home remedy.

Black seed oil

It contains a number of active ingredients that have been shown to help reduce cholesterol and control high blood pressure. Therefore, to reduce excess blood pressure simply take one teaspoon of Black Seed oil daily. Black Seed Oil can also be mixed into juice or tea if you don't like the taste of the raw oil. Black seed oil is a remedy for all diseases except death.

Disease - Belching:

BELCHING:
Belching or burping is also medically referred as eructation or ructus. Essentially it is a process of releasing gas from the digestive tract through the mouth. A typical odor or sound may also accompany the process of gas release. Belching is a common universal phenomenon and not limited to few people with any specific disorder. Infants to older adults belch or burp to expel air that has been swallowed in excess. Belching relieves the abdomen of discomfort caused due to the excess air. Belching can also form as a habit to many people and such belching or burping may not be related to the accumulation of air in their stomachs. Instinctively people resort to belching on account of any form of abdominal discomfort to expel gas and ease the existing discomfort. Though it sounds like a simple exercise, technically belching is a co-coordinated activity. The larynx is raised to ensure no liquid or food passing with the air from the stomach get into the lungs and this process also relaxes the upper cardia (esophageal sphincter) such that air can pass more easily from the esophagus into the throat. The lower cardia (esophageal sphincter) also needs to open so that air can pass from the stomach into the esophagus. During these activities, the diaphragm descends such that it increases abdominal pressure and decreases pressure in the chest similar to taking a breath. The change in pressure ensures air flows from the stomach in the abdomen to the esophagus in the chest.
Symptoms of Belching Some known symptoms of burping: *- Burping Sounds *- Odor accompanying burping Causes of Belching: The key causes that lead to burping:
*- Eating or drinking too fast such that excessive air is swallowed in the process.
*- Consumption of carbonated drinks such as : soft drinks, champagne, beer may cause burping in which case the gas released is from the drink itself.
*- Certain disorders such as Gastroesophageal reflux disease may cause involuntary burping.
*- Certain established eating patterns or habits lead to burping as a sign of completing a meal.
Remedies for Belching:
Some remedies that work in treating belching:
*- Eating slowly or have small meals.
*- Avoiding chewing gum and carbonated drinks.
*- Excessive consumption of onions and chocolates may also cause burping. Avoid such foods.
*- Avoid alcohol especially among individuals suffering from chronic belching or excessive belching.
*- Reducing stress, following exercise tips from medical practitioners and inducing relaxation can help treat belching.

Disease - Gangrene

Gangrene and Its Treatments
Gangrene is the death of tissue, often resulting from an obstruction in the blood supply to the tissue. The blood that feeds your tissues provides oxygen, nutrients that feed your cells and immune system, without a proper blood supply, your cells can't survive. Gangrene most commonly affects the extremities, including your toes, fingers and limbs, but can also occur in the muscles and in iinternal organs.
Three Major Types of Gangrene:
a. Dry gangrene:
It is a condition of gangrene that results when one or more arteries become obstructed, in this type of gangrene, the tissue slowly dies because of inadequate or no blood supply. This occurs mostly in the extremities and it may develop in people with diabetes or advanced hardening and narrowing of the arteries. It may also develop after prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures.
Symptoms of dry gangrene:
In dry gangrene, the tissue first becomes bluish and they feel cold to the touch. As time progresses, a line of demarcation appears between the healthy and devitalized tissue, which becomes dry and black. Eventually, there may be a separation of the dead tissue from the living tissue, with spontaneous amputation of the involved extremity. If the gangrene does not affect an entire extremity, the gangrenous area may separate and slough off, leaving an ulcer in the skin.Treatment of dry gangrene:Treatment of this type of gangrene is aimed at improving circulation to the affected area. This may be accomplished with drugs or through the surgical removal of the obstruction.b. Moist, or wet, gangrene:It is caused by certain bacterial infection. It can develop following a severe burn, frostbite or injury. When blood flow stops, bacteria begin to invade the muscle and thrive, multiplying quickly without interference from the body's immune system. It often occurs in people with diabetes who unknowingly injure a toe or foot.Symptoms of Moist or Wet Gangrene:The affected area becomes swollen, discolored, and often foul smelling.Treatment of Moist or Wet Gangrene:Administration of antibiotics and sometimes the surgical removal of the dead tissue to keep the infection from spreading.c. Gas gangrene:It is an infection caused by certain bacteria of the genus Clostridium. These bacteria live in the soil and thrive in an atmosphere that is low in oxygen. The huge majority of gas gangrene cases occur as complications of bad wounds, particularly ones that are contaminated with dirt.Symptoms of Gas gangrene:After an incubation period of one to four or five days, the affected tissue is swollen, painful and cold. A watery, brownish, foul-smelling fluid drains from the wound, and little bubbles of gas develop in the tissues.Treatments of Gas gangrene:Gas gangrene is often treated with the antitoxin for clostridium. In a number of cases, amputation may have to be used to keep the infection under control. Severe cases have been treated by keeping the patient in an oxygen-rich atmosphere, as in a hyperbaric chamber. In hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy the patient is placed in a pressurized chamber and receives 100% pure oxygen to breathe. This has been shown useful in inhibiting the production of toxins in gas gangrene and for getting oxygen quickly to tissues. Other Less Common Type of Gangrene:d. Internal gangrene:This type of gangrene can affect one or more of your organs, most commonly the intestines and gallbladder.e. Fournier's gangrene:It is the most rare type of gangrene, it involves the genital organs. Men are most often affected, but women can develop this type of gangrene as well. This usually occurs due to an infection in the genital area or urinary tract. Symptoms includes; genital pain, tenderness, redness and swelling.
TREATMENT:
Chelation therapy:It is a treatment which uses an intravenous solution containing the drug ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA), among other substances. In the bloodstream, EDTA binds and removes toxins and plaque formation on arterial walls. It therefore promotes circulation throughout the body and may help reverse the processes leading to gangrene.
